old guy's rants

How will I even know if anyone ever reads these things or should I care??? Today is sunday and there is no sun here but I am happy and content. I woke early this morning and read "The Ethical Canary".
Ethics in this day and age seem like the fairy tales of my youth. If it is good for me I do it, seems to be the predominant ethical approach to life.
Is my glass half full or is it near empty.
